Setting Objectives and Measuring Success

Setting ambitious yet attainable KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) is crucial for giving your team clear targets and measurable outcomes. By establishing these performance metrics, team members can focus their efforts on tasks that directly contribute to the organization's success. This not only promotes individual accountability but also encourages collaboration and open communication, as team members can more effectively coordinate their efforts to achieve these targets.


Furthermore, by consistently monitoring progress towards KPIs and OKRs, leaders can quickly identify areas of improvement, allocate resources more efficiently, and offer guidance or support when needed. This approach ultimately empowers employees to take ownership of their work, resulting in a more motivated, engaged, and productive team that drives the organization forward.

Assigning & Delegating Tasks


Assigning roles and delegating tasks may not seem like the most exciting parts of being a business owner. But when push comes to shove, they can make or break the functionality of your business.


First, assigning an owner to tasks when delegating is crucial for promoting accountability and ensuring the timely completion of work. A designated owner can take responsibility for the task's progress, communicate updates, and ensure that the task aligns with the overall project or organizational goals. Once you assign a task, we recommend using the PAT system to delegate it in an effective way. PAT stands for Purpose, Action, and Timeframe.

  1. Purpose: Clearly define the objective or goal of a task, ensuring everyone understands the desired outcome. Example: Improving a social media profile to reflect the capabilities and brand of your company, in turn making it more effective while doing outreaching and engagement with your prospects.

  2. Action: Outline the specific steps or actions required to achieve the purpose, providing a roadmap for execution. Example: The team will develop the create a series of 12 engaging posts and stories, and collaborate with 3 top "influencer"-type agents, and launch on Instagram and Facebook.

  3. Timeframe: Establish a realistic deadline for completing the task, promoting accountability and prioritizing work. Example: The team sets a 2-month deadline for implementing their social media strategy and aims to achieve a great profile and 20% increase in followers and engagement within that period. And the time to evaluate progress and success will be calendared every two weeks.
